No mention yet of the big game tonight, Hot Shots v Eagles. The newly crowned National Champion of Champions, defending league champions versus undisputedly the best league side Croydon has to this day ever produced.

Tonight, I guess, could and should be billed as the title decider. Hot Shots at home, 4 points adrift, Clarkes lined up and as a team clearly on fire. Eagles on top since week one and maybe tonight able to cement their claims they can regain the title by winning in Hot Shots own backyard....

Mid table battle tonight with the Prop, hot on the heels of the leading two sides taking on the Patriots, should see the Prop narrow the gap against one of the two top sides.

At the foot of the table, will the Eden force another nail into the Bloodhounds coffin. Can the Rack Pack reverse the opening week of the campaign when they were defeated by a Coney side who recorded their first league win last week since early November. The SAS are surely doomed and still looking to record a win in Division 1 but surely cannot find that tonight against a Cuemasters side sitting in 4th spot.

My predictions for week 12:
Hot Shots 4-3 Eagles
Bloodhounds 3-4 Eden
Rack Pack 4-3 Coney
SAS 2-5 Cuemasters
Propeller 5-2 Patriots

We have a bye tonight so I may pop along and watch some of this.

5-2 Hotshots.

HotShots v Eagles. A bit hasty to say a title decider , but a big, big game nontheless. It's amazing how often teams lose after winning a big title. After the Lord Mayors Show for the Hotshots? I think so. 4-3 to the Eagles for me.

Other than that I agree with Alex's predictions only with a reverse of the '4' and the '3' in the Rack Pack, Coney game.

2-5 to the Coney tonight. Not exactly how the frames went but great team spirit with the coney tonight. Donna is making a BIG difference and won her frame well tonight...

I've noticed that Mick Saunders is no longer secretary of The SAS and I heard somewhere that he didn't play last week yet was at the venue . . Has he jacked it all in?

Without wanting to suck up to the leading lights in div 1 too much, it speaks volumes for the quality of the Croydon league that the official best pub team in the country have it all to do to retain their league title. It's a coin drop between the Hotshots and the Eagles for me and the Prop have the ability to challenge too.

As for the Coney, it's great to see renewed vigour and enthusiasm. Watching from afar, Lils: It's an absolute pleasure to have you in the fold. What a catalyst.

SAS 1-6 Cuemasters

Mick Saunders wasn't there. I think he has packed it in.

I heard the Hot Shots only had 5 players last night? Any truth in those rumours?

Well done to the Hounds last night. Every frame was close and it went to the wire and edged us out in the decider.

No idea. I'm aware that the Prop only had 5 though. No Popes.

The Hot Shots had 9 last night . . 10 if you include the Champion of Champions trophy which is almost as big as Nigel Clarke!

In fairness it must have been a massive come down for the Hotshots to go from winning the nationals, to having to turn up to play on the next Tuesday. Any team that went there would have found the Hotshots slightly flat.

We have generally found it difficult getting up for a league campaign having won it the year before, so times that by 10 for them really, as their really isnt much more they need to achieve in league pool.

We weren't really at the races either, and the result could have been anything from a 5-2 Hotshots win to a 5-2 Eagles win, so happy with the result.

Did you give them the Guard of Honour when they walked in?

a fantastic week for the eagles with both their main rivals losing.

Unlucky to the Rack Pack who didnt get the run in a couple of frames but I think on reflection a win to the Coney was fair.

Big chance missed by the Prop to go in to second spot for the first time in a few seasons! Bloodhouds have closed the gap slightly and if memory serves me correctly the team that went down last season won 7 games and the bloodhounds currently only have 3 wins so will need to keep imporving to stay up.
