We were robbed by the Warbank last night. As usual there wasn't a copper in sight when you need one!! We potted five black balls and yet we lost 4-3. I couldn't believe the good fortune that our opponents enjoyed. The only comfort to us is that they will still be as ugly as ever when they woke up this morning.Ha Ha. Can't wait for the rematch in Parrot Land. I presume that it will be alright to get there at about 7 o'clock to have a practise. That is the truly ridiculous opportunity that we offer to any opponents of Suzy-based teams !! It will have to stop !! Free tables should not be available to any away teams on match nights !! The home teams should have some sort of identification to set us apart from the opposition !!

Sorry Pat, I think the info below allows us to practise. Does not appear to state anything about home teams only.
"Mark Halsey read the detailed proposal from Rileys, Imperial Way for the possible sponsorship of the League for the next three years as the Thomas Farleys sponsorship would cease at the end of the current Summer League with no intention of continuing. Rileys prepared to match the ?250 paid by Thomas Farley P.H. for Summer League and offered ?500 in comparison to the Thomas Farleys ?750 for the Winter League, but for the reduced sum,
Rileys will provide free membership for all C&DPL members, one hour free practice before a match, free tables for all semi-finals and finals held at their venue and free venue, buffet and entertainment for all presentation nights, saving the League in excess of ?800 from previous years.
Rileys will have all League and League Cup semi-Finals and Finals held at their venue and all Knockout competitions semi-finals and Finals held at their venue (subject to the agreement of the other sponsors of these competitions) but as is always the case, all other competitions are still available for sponsorship.
This proposal was accepted by all present."

Legion 4 - 3 Maple tree
Just managed to keep our unbeaten record after going 3-0 down in what was a very poor standard match. Neither team played that well & i guess it could have been 7-0 either way.

Steve Deegan is shit. He should be put under house arrest for the crime of impersonating a pool player and Jason should be allowed out again . . ;)

A friendly evening was had by all Division 2 teams. There were no disputes over rules or sportsmanship issues. Perhaps the Division 1 players could learn a thing or two from their lower league acquaintances. Happy Days !!
