Rileys Eden 8 - 3 Pawleyne Foulers
We come out the block's quickly tonight than a Intercity 125 train going to Wales!! It was an top draw performance by us, taking our chances when we needed to against a top quality full side.
Eden went from 1-1 to 8-1, and the last two frames, we didn't get a sniff.
If someone said we would be 8-1 up, we wouldn't have believed it, but its a great win for a newly formed side which have been together for a few weeks.
It was beans, eggs and some hash brown for good measure.
Well played to the Payleyne Foulers and I am sure they will be seeking revenge in the second half of the season.
Great banter tonight between us and all the best to them for the rest of the season.:clap:

1NilDown 2 Pond Wheatsheaf 9
A great result for us considering our current lowly league position. Quite a fortuitous final score but we will happily take it. We really liked the Legion's new home. The table wasn't too bad either. Our opponents will play a lot worse than this evening and still win most matches. The very best of luck to them for the remainder of the season. Always a pleasure to play you.

We were the pool equivalent of Emile Heskey last night, missing all over the show, and rightfully punished.
Porky providing the only glimmer of light in the first five.
By the time we were 8-1 down, the last 2 frames came too little too late. I'd like to say they added respectability, but 8-3 still a massive shoeing.
Good craic though, Eden played well and took their chances.
A fortnight off now to reflect, ponder, and drink some more.

Don't worry Neil - I know ALL about the Better Halves. They traditionally raise their game against quality sides (hence Tuesday's result) and then historically take pity on 'certain other sides' (hence Monday's result).
My lawyer now says that I can't legally write the next bit...... so I will leave it there!! :censored:
Good luck for the rest of the season!!

Steve K's finish - I take it you don't mean the first game?? That was a chopfest. Special mention to John Little who played 5 shots on the night and went in off 4 times.
