I know we done this a couple of years back but I am sure a lot has changed since then . .

What parts would you take from what players to make your ideal all-round pool player?

You have to choose who you would take the following attributes from:

Break
Potting Ability
Tactical Awareness
Flair
Mentality
Sportsmanship

Please feel free to comment on your reasoning for each decision . .

Break: Efren Reyes
Potting Ability: Rod Altes (never seen him miss a pot)
Tactical Awareness: World Rules: Gary Swettenham, Old EPA: Merv Davis
Flair: Kyle Pickett closely followed by the Rocket.
Mentality: Paul Saxton (lol)
Sportsmanship: Danny Wordley (Apologizes to you when he wins)

As much as I'd like to comment on this, I'd be restricted to naming players on my team only as I don't know many ppl :( lol

And why not? Lets see...

Break - Knocky :threaten:
Potting Ability - Luke :pee:
Tactical Awareness - Graf
Flair - Oh, that's me
Mentality - Dan :box:
Sportsmanship - Mick :surrender:
None of the above - Teepee :lame:
All of the above when playing for money - Teepee

And play more pool? Probably the most contradictory comment of the year so far I would say.

Based purely on Croydon talent.....

Break: Andy Esgrove - never seen a dry break from him and controls the cue ball like he has it on a piece of string.

Potting ability: Rod Altes, Sean Halligan, Kyle Pickett - flick a coin.

Tatical awareness: Tony Jackson - his ability to read the game and see shots others can't is unrivalled.

Flair: Wayne Pope - majestic to watch which I normally do when I am playing him. Not the same gravy as Pope, but Peter Brown at the Pawleyne Arms has uncanny ability to pot balls off the chandeliers - goes for everything. Same can be said for Phil 'Longshanks' Watts, never seen the fella play a safety shot.

Mentality: Daniel Evans by a mile. Focused.

Sportsmanship: Has to be Matt Palmer. What a true sportsman he was in July last year. Despite all the slander he has endured from me since he remains unmoved, unfazed and as sporting as ever. Good on you son.
