great win for us tonight good start winning the first 6 then losing the next 2 to lead 6 2 then taking the last 2,

Seamen 5-5 View to a kill

A match that was a scrap from the first ball to the last....no clearcut frames....and never more than a frame in it....

To be fair, I think we will be happier with the result than the View boys....they were 4-3 up with a dolly black in the eighth...black missed, 4 awkward balls cleared, fine cut on the black made it 4-4...then an easily pottable black jawed to leave an easy finish left them 5-4 down...a good finish in the 10th levelled the scores...

Mentions for James Hills and Marlow Renton for 2/2...

I know the Surrey boys will be cocck-a-hoop (apologies for the spelling...auto-edit blanked the correct spelling) over this result...but there is still a long way to go....we would like to think we can spoil the party in the second half....

An enjoyable night with the boys from the view, as always...we look forward to the quality grub back at yours!!!!

As a footnote....we ran out of time to play the secretary's game, so there will be 2 games played in the reverse fixture...
