Seamen 5-5 Cue Slammers

Well, what can I say....our first draw since last summer....2-0, and 5-1 up, it looked like a big win on the cards...having been outplayed, the slammers changed tactics and scrapped...got the rub in the last 4, along with some good play, and scraped the draw...

One thing bugs me a bit....I am not suggesting any foul play, but in frame 9, with one ball left, the slammers player made no attempt to play pool...in fact for about 10 shots, he never moved the cue ball more than 6 inches...yes, it is allowed in the rules, but not exactly in the spirit...our player tried to win the game, got a touch unlucky with position, and lost...

Change the scenario slightly...if our player went defensive too, and tried to force a mistake, I think that frame would still be in progress now....there is nothing within the rules or playing procedures concerning this...perhaps we should think along the lines they have in snooker...if neither player is deemed to be making progress after, say 5 or 6 shots, then there is a warning issued to both players, if this is not heeded within 2 shots, then a re-rack would be enforced...worth thinking about, perhaps??

Aside from that, always good to see the (ex) Manor team...good luck!!

terrible game last night but still had a good laugh, 2 0 up thought we were going to run riot but wasnt to be leading 3 2 in the first set, and everything went wrong in the second and our heads dropped but well played to the view they deserved it, cant wait for the second leg?

and by the way ben its neil not neal lol and it is the first game that counts lol which i won so still unbeaten on my first games, good luck to the view in the future, great bunch of lads down there and the food is still one of the best in the league.

If both players play into space for 2 consecutive visits a rerack is already enforced. In addition, there is nothing in world rules against a rerack of a frame being played at any point if agreed by both players
