Another view 4-6 The Seamen

For the second week in a row, a match that only ever had one frame in it until the end.....and what an end!!! The last frame was the only time we won the toss all night....so Chris Bateman promptly serves up a break and dish...

We were probably slightly unlucky to be 3-2 down at halfway, although the view boys did make the most of our misfortune to take out some good clearances....a good second half saw Peter Brooks roll back the years with a great finish, and James Hills take his second 2/2 for the season...

As always, a fantastic spread of food...probably the best in the league....

Farley Small Potatoes 4-6 Rileys Misfits

What can I say, after 3 frames we were 3-0 down with only 3 players but the Misfits were sporting enough to wait for our 4th man to arrive. He thanked them by getting our first win of the night.

I'd asked the team to show some bouncebackability before the match and that kicked in on the 7th frame. It looked like we were going to cancel out the score in the first set but sadly we faltered in the last frame and ended up 6-4.

Well played to the Misfits- great bunch of lads. Good luck for the season. :thumb:

It just a simple case of miscommunication- they tried to show bouncebackability by losing the first 3 (we were also giving 1 frame away). From the 4th frame onwards they kicked on and showed plenty.

Next week I'll ask them to kick arse instead and see how that turns out.

neil i think metin will change his mind once !!!! youve won the singles , doubles , league { as u only came runners up this year ;-0 } the sec got in the croydon a interleague team and manged to got in the the surrey county side !!!! see now ive won back to back div 5 league and div 4 with the untouchables div singles div sec and div 3 winter with the woof woof clan so am no better then you lol lol lol lol :D:

oh yeah i remember that result, bad night of pool that day but that was in the past wont ever get beaten by that result again that was just a one off kermy lol.
