Bound to be a tight game, two newly promoted teams hoping to stay in Div 1 so will be close.

Rileys Rack Pack vs Rileys Blood Masters
3 - 7
Rack Pack losing a couple of players for the summer and in my opinion would have weakened as a result, playing a strong team on a good table, can't see anything less than a Blood Masters victory.

Lock Stock & 2EB's vs Rileys Eden Eagles
1 - 9
Repeat of the first match of last year in Div 2, which we won 9-1 and we've strengthened.

Frames Unpredictables vs Propeller
6 - 4
Another game which will be close, both teams have brought in top players but I think the Unpredictables will be confident after a big win in the league cup final and their first 5 will be too strong. Could be a massive game in the battle for 2nd and 3rd.

Forum 'A' vs Pond Q's
7 - 3
The Forum look a strong team and normally turning up with a bare 5 helps them and on their table I think it will be a comfortable victory.

Just was not the start we was looking for, played awful and some good nudges helped them, but thats pool. Scott winning both his games and Grant winning the other.

Roll on next which will be against the Rat Pack.

Forum 5 Pond Q's 5
A very enjoyable evening as always with the Forum lads . We managed to throw away a winning position yet again. We must become more clinical in finishing off these opportunities. The evening was enhanced by watching the Mancs get their first stuffing of the week by a team of Italian geriatrics. I can't wait for the game on Saturday. It should be hilarious.Getting back to pool, good luck to our opponents for the remainder of the season ! :clap:

Though I wasn't involved with the team, I understand, last summer season was a mix up of then existing Eden, and also Eagles players. Of course, we should blame Danny Evans for starting the Summer alliance, as it was Mr Evans whom at the time in some what controversial terms moved across to the Eden for some summer pool....

I agree with Metin, the team name had to change, and Eden Knights was more gay than Barry Watkins moving back to the Farley Dukes!

On a positive note its good to see the Eden name is still floating around & the boys are remembering their roots, and even better that the Eden is ranked in the team name ahead of the Eagles! That never happened very often.

Could you clarify whether Mr Watkins return to us Dukes being gay is intended as an insult to him or the Dukes - although any rumours regarding Mr Bannister's leather jacket clad YMCA impression are pure speculation...:D: Anyway, Barry brings our average age down a few years...
