Once famous Drillers are now also-rans
If Dennis Bloss was actually dead, instead of Francois just making it up, he'd be turning in his grave.
Read Berty's season predictions, 6th place for the Drillers!!!
Shocking scenes.
Fold the team, you are embarrassing yourselves!!!
Any forward thinking Captain would have signed Saxton by now.

You can be certain of three pre-season claims from The Drillers:
1 - They will have a full team out for the duration of the year
2 - Mev & Dom will be there every week
3 - They'll win either the league or the cup
Get Darren Colburn back in charge

Marc, I seem to remember the drillers players bashing up your inter league team the other sunday.
bertys predictions are crap !!!, even with 3 players(which is an end of season possibility) we would still beat the likes of the eden and coney !!!
3 claims from the Drillers :
1) we will have a full team for at least half the season (at which point we will have already bashed up the so called top teams).
2) mev will not be playing every week, with dom, who knows
3) not in the knockout cup, singles or doubles, so we will have to win the league.
other teams - :chair: - drillers

You didn't bash us up, you lost 15-12
Played well but lost
LOST
I'm never going to believe anything you say ever ever again.
I like your style though, keep it up and Drillers will go the season undefeated, in Hoy-World at least ;)

That post would hold a bit more credibility if you hadn't turned up with 4 against us towards the end of last season and lost 5-2.
Most apt username yet

"end of last season" being the right phrase, when we were in our "couldn't give a toss, end of season phase"
"Most apt username yet" - why would that be ?

John the "couldn't give a toss period" for some of your players normally starts by week 3 :wrong: not you though:kiss:

we cant seriously be contesting the fact that the drillers are going to maintain a sustained season with at least 6 each week throughout the whole season. I am not saying that i Dont want it to happen but based on past facts unless they have signed new players it is impossible. The past cannot lie

Berty, problem counting? It is 2-2. Though we both know who holds the two ''credible'' wins. :nerner:

I was talking about finishing above you in the last 2 seasons but I guess now you mention it we did beat you 2-0 last season :eek2:
question for you in regards to the ashes what are the rules on which they are won and lost. Is it just every time we play or are end of season standings counted?

Given they are all mates from Heath, I don't know why the Drillers and the Unpredictables don't merge their squads and form two teams.
Between the two squads they have enough strength to field one team that can genuinely challenge for honours and a second team that should still be good enough to retain a place in the 1st division.
Alternatively both teams will remain as also-rans, while the Eagles, Hot Shots and Prop divvy up the leagues and cups between them.
Nothing to do with me anyway, just seems like a viable option that could possibly add another strong contender at the top end.

On 2007-10-11 09:04 , Stretch Wrote on the Old Site:Just a quick little note to let you know that i'm back and rareing to go for the winter season. The Drillers will have all the same players as last year with a couple of new players to consolidate our foundation (pending medical results and personal terms). Hopefully we'll be turning up with a full squad weekly and although we may fall a little short of being title contenders, we'll definately have some say on where the trophies will be heading (as i don't think many teams will turn us over). My thoughts are a straight shoot-out between Hotshots and the Eagles, with us and The Prop chasing them in.
Hopefully he'll find us soon . . . :D

Well,i found you!
I'd just like to know what the problem is with us possibly being also rans? Is it such a crime for that to be the case? If the league didn't have your so called also ran's, it would be made up of 3-4 teams! The also ran's are what makes the league what it is!
We may not be as dedicated as most other teams, but as most of you will know, i am always very apologetic when we turn up short on numbers. I do feel rather embarrassed when it happens and hopefully we'll not be having the same issue this season.
We are just a team of mates who play together, we don't pretend to be something we're not and don't really enter into all the back-biting and shit-talking that goes on. The primary reason for this is that most of us have things that we take a lot more seriously. For us there are far more important things and there is a lot to see past that little section of green baize in the world (some of you should try it).
Oh, Berty if you've finished above us in the last 2 seasons, you'd be confident enough to have a Bullseye bet with me that you'll do it again?:handshake:
Anyway, if there was no Drillers, what the hell would you lot talk about!!:gossip

I dont think we have ever finished above you? I have no problem with you being also rans at all and i defo think you add to the league and are a great team on your day. I think the only issue is the usual pre season bumf about winning things followed by a lack of players and then certain teams playing you with a great squad and others playing you with 5 players. Anyway new season etc, I have no problems with the drillers in fact we pretty much use you as a bench mark for improvement. At the end of the day as the Rack pack proved last year if you finish above the drillers you get a 4th place finsh and the uefa cup!!

I think I read on here that Power's mommy's so fat she has to smear her hand in butter to get it in her pocket. Could be wrong though.

Berty, in general it is not us that spouts off about winning things, it's actually other people!

That's because there is no value in spouting off about winning your league cup group  (I take it you did win at least that last year?)

Latest Hot News... After lengthy transfer discussions, a slightly tipsy Cliff Mills has returned to his spiritual home and signed for the Drillers. This is a massive coup for The Drillers and should make them hot favourites for the title.
