Unpredictables V Warbank
If we are to believe the 9-1 defeat at the hands of the Hot Shots the Unpredictables would seem to be either massively out of form or missing something. Would be interested to hear more details of that match as that is a fairly shocking result against a weakened Hot Shots side. Warbank can also take very few positives from their first week comprehensive beating at the hands of the Eagles. This could be a great opportunity for the Warbank to bounce back especially on the back of the doubles final result 5-5.
Eagles Vs Pot Luck
If I am to believe what I have heard Pot Luck will be lucky to get in to double figures points for the entire season. Eagles riding high after an empahtic opening last week they will be bitterly disappointed with anything less than a 10-0. I hope they Pot Luck keep it together for the season otherwise we could be faced with a situation where teams who play them in the back half of the Fixture programme lose out on a guaranteed 9-1 or 10-0 and have to take potentially an average of 4 or 5 points instead if they drop out. Could be the difference between staying up and going down or finishing 3rd or 4th. Lets hope they keep it together and if they don't the league sees sense.
Propeller V Jolly A
The Props season starts here really against a side who will feel all the more secure in their division one status after a resounding 7-3 victory in their opener against the new boys Forum A. The Prop in my opinion will have to much to offer but the Jolly will be hoping to turn at least 1 or 2 of their fixtures against the big guys in to a win this season. Prop with home advantage and still with the early season hope 7-3 winners
Forum A Vs Cuemasters
The Foum A with home advantage will be eager to get their first win of the season under their belt as in either this fixture or the next one against the Imperials. If they don't they are faced with trying to get a win between weeks 4 and 8 with games including (Eagles, Propeller, Patriots, Hot Shots and Eden). If they don't win one or both of their next two fixtures they face an uphill struggle to get their first win on the board before week 9. Cuemasters confident and full of hope with confidence in tact after coming thru a tough opener with a win. Cuesmasters win 7-3 but the Forum A to win next week.
Eden Vs Imperials
Eden were unlucky in places against the Cuemasters last week especially with Scott going in off on the black at 1-1. They win that one and they would like to have thought the result could have been reversed. Imperials with a home defeat in their first game. Both team keen to get off the mark and eden to give little away in their first home fixture. The Eden will be tough to beat once ahead in my opinion. 7-3 Eden win
Hot Shots Vs Patriots
Patiors with a convincing opening win and will be confident and hopeful with new signings etc. The Hots Shots can feel nothing other than positive after their opening week result of the round against the Unpredictables. Fascinating fixture and I am going to plump for a 5-5 draw

Berty got a few more correct than me last week. I'm going to get back on track this week....
Unpreds -v- Warbank
A complete shocker for the Unpreds last week, who as mentioned for some reason seem to start terribly in the winter season. They rely so heavily on the likes of Bishop & Knocky to get them into matches, and if Knocky is still AWOL, you have think it could well be a long season. Ian David playing against his old Warbank team mates for the 1st time since his two pints and pack of pork scratchings move across Croydon will only inspire the Warbank to produce a performance. Coupled with the fact most of the Warbank practice at Rileys - this has all the makings of another defeat for the Unpreds on home turf. Warbank 6-4 win.
Eagles -v- Pot Luck
This fixture is the equivalent of Real Madrid versus Billericay Town from the Ryman Premier. Can the Pot Luck nick a frame? Not a hope. In one frame pool everyone has a chance, or can be given a frame with an in-off. The Ego's have too much experience and deep down they know any dropped frames is a bonus for their title contenders. Ego's will roll out 10 zip winners by 8.28pm, in what could be a Croydon pool league world record time for completing a match.
Propeller -v- Jolly A
Home advantage for the Prop and this is their first real test of the season. With the Prop definitely weaker on paper than in previous seasons this could be a pretty even encounter. The Prop away is still is one of the toughest matches for anyone on the fixture list so not to be underestimated. The Jolly need to start taking out these kind of matches if they believe they are a top 6 side and this week have opportunities against a Prop side missing that usual strength in depth. I can see the Jolly at least battling it out to gain a draw. 5-5.
Forum A -v- Cuemasters
Not an easy place to travel to is the Forum. Table was not good last time I played there. If the Forum are serious about keeping their status in Div 1, they will need to take the majority of their points on home soil. This is one of those matches they need to take something from even if its only a draw. With last weeks loss still fresh and some tougher league games coming their way in the next month this is now a bigger match. Cuemasters at full strength poses a very real test for the Forum, and again the Cuemasters will have looked at the fixtures and put this match down as one they must take full advantge of and take the points. Cuemasters were last seasons draw specialists so the sensible bet, with Forum at home, would be a long drawn out 5 all. But I think our old enemy will cope with the away venue and I see them rolling out of Forestdale at least 6-4 winners.
Eden -v- Imperials
From what I heard about last week's game, the Eden fully deserved at least a draw, had very little of the lucky breaks in the game and lost a couple of frames from realitively easy positions. Having said that you have to take those chances. Truey finding some good early form is a big positive. Imperials had a tough opener last week but thats what Div 1 is all about. There is no hiding place for any newly promoted sides. Imps will feel they can have a good crack at beating the Eden. Early signs that they are on the hunt for some new players, when two weeks into a season, is not a good indicator for them. With home advantage, Eden will win by a min of 6-4 .
Hot Shots -v- Patriots
This fixture is definitely the 'headline act' of Div 1 this week. Hot Shots told us all something last week, that even with a depleted side of front line players, they still have enough quality to produce big performances and cannot be written off this season. Whether they have enough strength aganst the likes of Ego's and Patriots is to be seen. The Patriots, on the other hand, could do no more last week and got the win which everyone expected of them. The Patriots have assembled a team to challenge, no doubt about that, but if they are to mount any serious challenge for the title then making the long travel up to Lewisham and coming away with a result just has to happen. Going to be hotly contested match but the Patriots with there line up just have a bit more up their sleeves and should come away with a victory. 7-3 Patriots.

Unpredictables 4 - Warbank 6
Propeller 7 - Jolly A 3
Forum 'A' 4 - Cuemasters 6
Eden 6 - Imperials 4
Hot Shots 5 - Patriots 5
I'm not in the habbit of underestimating teams, especially ones I've never seen play!!! so I'll tip us for a 7-3 Win vs. Pot Luck, afetr all, anything can happen over one frame :-)
Also, being a pool and snooker club (Frith Road) they'll surely uncover a rough diamond at some stage and unleash him on the division.

Although I didn't actually see any of the predicted riots, I don't actually fancy telling Paul he was wrong, so I will assume there was a riot and I missed it...
