The Warbank 2 - 8 The Rack Pack

Bad day at the office, didnt play enough sexy pool, but had been unlucky on a few frames, when we had some dry breaks, but hey thats pool lol!

Good friendly banter with the lads from the Rat Pack!!, and I am sure the strong favorites to pick up the Summer Knock Out Cup 2009.

:clap::clap:

Sorry guys!!

Was not interested last night and it showed in my games. Trying to finish off my second game in under 1 minute shows really how much effort i could be bothered!!

Unusual for me... goes to show my Warbank days will be coming to and end after the winter!

A new chapter will be commencing! :winkgrin:

Pond Q's 3 Hot Shots 7 A disappointing result. We deserved a draw at the very least !! I heard that the Hot Shots previous week's "walkover" match against the Propeller was in fact played on Monday evening. Each side could only muster four players .The result was a 5-3 win for the Propeller. Congratulations to the Hot Shots on their well-deserved title. :trophyone: :clap:

Whilst on the subject of congratulations. I'd like to congratulate Pondlife and his ''handsome'' boys for beating the drop for the first time in 8 attempts. Cracking effort.

Very Noble of you Alex... Then again, no less than one would expect from a sportsman of your stature... I am sure your mate Patrick will be very touched...

Spot on Dave. You'll never find me dipping into the Gerry Nannery book of unsporting behaviour and failing to offer my hand in a congratulationary manner...

Those who know me, will know that I have endured many a sleepless night since 28th April this year when I sank that black which confirmed Patrick's ''handsome'' boys would return to and play Division Two pool this coming winter season.

I just felt it was the least I could do, to be the very first to offer my congratulations at beating the drop this time around.....

Surely the Gerry Nannery issue is ancient history now Alex, time to move on? As a former team mate of Gerry's can vouch for him as a decent bloke - not so sure about Pat though...:D: Pat asked if I would rejoin them for the winter, but I would only do so if he posed in a Liverpool top in public, so no chance.

Alex,you really are an aggravating *******. Where do you get your information from ? Eight attempts to avoid relegation ? What are you talking about ? Have you not been taking your regular medication ? I presumed that your Alzheimers disease was completely under control,as it has been so long since your last deranged ramble. Could it be that the "strange smell "at your current home venue has reduced the effectiveness of your tablets ? Both you and the smell need to be completely investigated in order to prevent a further outburst !!

Patrick, if only it had been 'eight attempts to avoid relegation'. I actually posted 'first time in 8 attempts to avoid relegation'. Now I'm sure Mark Halsey could verify the exact number, but as he is a busy person there will be no need to trouble him with such a mundane matter. So for the sake of compromise, how about we both call it a combined number of 6 summer & winter relegations in the past 6 years?

Pondlife, please excuse my previous congratulationary message, as it seems to have tweaked a few of your strings. I must admit to a total lack of experience when it boils down to the trials and tribulations of the aftermath and sour taste left by failure. I'm sure you will appreciate this has left me somewhat ill prepared and unable to continue in this debate further, especially with someone as specialised as you in the subject of 'relegation and dealing with the trauma'....
