Well done Peter Knight for winning Division 2. Some solid results all through the season, I lost 9-3 to him. Peter played very well with some good finishes, I played ok with some good shots and finishes but didnt get any run of the balls which cost me 2 or 3 frames. Hopefully I will do better against him in Division 1 next season. Would have been nice to have had a bit more run and scraped the draw I needed, but never mind.

On the whole its been an enjoyable and well run league this season considering the increase in divisions and the number of postponements due to unforseen circumstances, holidays etc. I think I have done well this season compared to previous seasons where I ended up finishing near the bottom, and had some good results. I am looking forward to division 1, although the line up is not yet clear

Hopefully with the next season going across the autumn and winter there will be less cancellations. Its a shame to see matches not being played and having to come down to average results

Agreed, I was also distressed by the fact that we had people walking out of matches. That is not on. I would say that any unplayed games had been forfeited by the person doing the walking, obviously that was not so and resulted in the rules being changed.

Average results are also a discussion point. I don't think it's fair if someone has been losing their games and then when their guy doesn't bother to show up they lose again!

And what about that handicap system?

*stir* *stir* *stir*

Anyway, other than the above I enjoyed the season.

Looking forward to the plate and the presentations. Job well done Mr Dart.

Thanks chaps.

Average results is, unfortunately, the fairest way to sort out these situations. Granted, it seems unfair for the aforementioned guy who's been losing to lose to a no-show but it's even more unfair on others if a walkover win was awarded for a match that wasn't played. After all, the average result is up to you. If you're a good player, you'll have a good average and win but if you're Dogger, you lose - again
:bite:
