Good luck to both the Cuemasters and the Forum Unpredictables tonight in the last leg of the winter league

both tricky away fixtures to 2 good teams, the Warbank and the Forum 'A'

the Eagles just have not been at the races this year and whilst we tried to get close and breathe down their necks, we just ran out of puff at the last few furlongs

Thanks.
Would also like to wish cue masters all the best for tonight.
Hopefully we can get the result we need as it would be great for Mick donnell to win the winter league for the 1st time.
What ever happens it's been a great season for us.rolling eyes

congratulations MOD's Unpredictables....

after 127 years in the league and carrying Mev all these years it's great that's he's got the silverware for all his efforts, especially as he beat us when he was wearing an eye patch!

cheers

Ditto re the congratulations aimed at the New League Champions and very fitting from The Eagles who were first to offer up their best wishes after dominating the League Programme over the last decade with only a blip in 2007 when Hot Shots took their crown during that era .......... something tells me though that we've not seen the end of The Eagles. Congratulations also to our other Divisonal Winners being Pond Ivy and Flying Machine

Two great sides who I have a lot of respect for,

MO'D a legend of our league, so am genuinely delighted for him and the Unpredictables, a team that have by and large remained unchanged for years, as long as I can remember.

Cuemasters as always a massively classy outfit who will always challenge, commiserations lads, but still KO Cup Champs.

Well done all X

I cannot understand all you groupies hanging on to MOD's apron-strings. The Unpredictables fell over the line , mainly due to the shortcomings of their opponents. I, on the other hand have managed to carry our team of alcoholics and reprobates to the Second Division title. It truly is a wonderful performance, even though I say so myself. On a scale of 1 to 10 , I will award 2 to MOD and 9 to myself. I have tried very hard not to be biased.

Belated because I thought this site was dead, but well done to Unpredictables, they deserved it over all although they did fall over the line in the end. Massively disappointing for us because we were only a few games away from winning the treble but ended up with just one trophy. In the league we were sixth at halfway but came up with some big wins to get back in the mix. The decider was v the Unpredictables when they beat us 7-4 at ours. We had a much tougher run-in than them, with the Eagles and Forum still to play. It ended up closer than I expected and we obviously have recriminations because it was so close.
