So disappointing to hear that Rileys have decided to call it a day in Croydon. It is closing next Sunday(23rd October) for the last time. Good luck to all the staff. I hope that they find suitable alternative employment as quickly as possible.
This sudden and unexpected turn of events has left eight teams temporarily homeless. A very sad state of affairs.

My understanding is that it will be re-opening at a new venue (Surrey Street) in February. I don't know the situation with the staff but it is the time of year where temporary jobs are in abundance and I would hope they are taken on at the new venue when it opens.

Yes it is a pain to have to find a temporary home but if it leads to just one new pub team signing up for the league as a result of teams playing in 'non league' venues then that's actually a good thing.
